HISTORY

The word PASADENA came from the name of the flower Cadena de Amor. During the earlier times it has been said that the streets of Brgy. Pasadena were filled with cadena de amor, a certain Spanish person created the name for Pasadena which means “way of the cadena de amor” PASA is a Spanish word which means “daan” in Filipino language. DEMOGRAPHIC DATA

Barangay Pasadena’s population as of 2015 is 4,825, the latest from NSO survey result. The barangay council was having a difficulty on conducting their own survey because some of the residents especially those who are living in condominiums are not participating in this activity mainly because they would like to secure their privacy and identity.

ADMINISTRATIVE, SERVICES AND PROCEDURES

Administration services are consists of skeletal force of the Barangay where its duty is to organize the functions of the Barangay, which includes documentation, identification and proper dealings were the Barangay is connected.
It also includes tangible items needed in the barangay to be able to perform or function well.

 

ISSUES

Based on the data captured form (DCF) which is the basis for creating the Barangay Agenda and Governance and Development, barangay pasadena has failed to comply on the requirement to appoint a Barangay Human Rights Action Officer and to establish an office space for the aforementioned position.

Brgy. Pasadena has also not updated its registered Barangay Inhabitants (RBI). The documented RBI of barangay Pasadena were gathered mainly from the residents living in the depressed area.

There is also need for improvement of administration office and other barangay facilities to accommodate constituents and equiptment needed for everyday services.
