STATEMENT OF SAN JUAN CITY MAYOR FRANCIS ZAMORA REGARDING THE USE OF FACE SHIELDS

During a meeting of the Metro Manila Council composed of the NCR mayors and the MMDA last night, it was agreed upon that the MMC will support the position of the DILG calling on the IATF to lift the mandatory use of face shields except in high risk areas such as hospitals and quarantine facilities. The MMC is purely recommendatory. The IATF will be making the final decision on this but the sentiment of the mayors present during last night's meeting including mine was for the lifting of the use of face shields.
