NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

Please be advised that the City Government of San Juan will participate in the nationwide drill to SIMULATE all phases of Emergency Response in case of a 7.2 magnitude earthquake affects Metro Manila.
PARTICIPATING INSTITUTIONS:
San Juan National Science High School
Pinaglabanan Elementary School
DRILL PHASES:
1. Drop, Cover, and Hold (Practice safety actions during "shaking")
2. Evacuation: Safe exit drills for buildings and open-area assembly.
3. Emergency Response: First aid, communication, and coordination simulations
DURING THE DRILL, YOU MAY EXPERIENCE:
• Loud sirens at 9:00 AM (1–2 minutes).
• Brief traffic pauses near schools along Pinaglabanan Street (8:45– AM - onwards).
• Increased activity by responders (fire, medical teams, emergency responders)
Please be advised also that the following streets will be temporarily closed during the drill:
1. Pinaglabanan Street (from N. Domingo Street to Jose Gil Street)
2. P. Narciso Street (from Pinaglabanan Street to Corazon de Jesus Street)
Motorists and commuters are advised to avoid the affected areas and plan alternate routes in advance.
Stay calm during simulations and
avoid non-essential travel near drill zones.
