San Juan City’s Mighty Sports wins 1st Inter-City Title

 

   The San Juan Mighty team beat One Step Manila 2 via 84-82 cliffhanger in game 3 of their best-of-three finals series to bag the first-ever Inter-City Far Eastern Insurance Company Basketball title at the San Andres Gym last September 26.

   Point guard par excellence Eldrick Ferrer was named as the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) while former PBA player Noli Locsin received the Most Sportsmanlike award.

   Also members of the team are San Juan City Councilor Francis Zamora, Gherome Ejercito, Chito Victolero, JA Conching, VJ Serios, Banjo Calpito, Mark Victoria, Eric Arejola, Wowie Evangelista, Botchie Domancas, Gherwin Gaco, Gilbert Malabanan, Dominic Uy and Jean Alabanza.

   Coach Patrick Aquino, Marketing Director Dino Enrile, Harlan Yu, and Jessie Angchongchoo called the shots for the San Juan Mighty while San Juan City mayor Joseph Victor G. Ejercito along with Cezar Wongchuking provided major support for the team.

   Mayor JV received the championship cup from Roland Lim, son of Mayor Alfredo Lim, Manila Sports Council Vice Chairman Bong Teodocio, League Commissioners Boyet Ocampo, Alexander Martos and James Café.
