 San Juan Mighty wins La Salle Basketball League Title

In its maiden season in the La Salle Basketball League, the San Juan Mighty, led by Mayor JV Ejercito won the title by beating Gerry's Grill, 86-73.  It was not an easy road to the title, as the San Juan Mighty Team had to go through a rough sailing by having to beat 4 time champion Harbour Centre in the seminfinals, and finished the eliminations with a 8-2 Win-Loss record.

San Juan Mighty, a team composed of mostly Xavier boys, leaned on the plays of leader Wowie Evangelista, bullstrong Charlemagne Lim, the very dependable Sammy Young, the clutch plays of Randy Chua and the defensive prowess of Marvis Sioco, Royd tan and Donnel Ong.

By beating the powerhouse teams like Harbour Center and Gerry's Grill, San Juan Mighty is a team to watch for the coming years in the La Salle Basketball League.
